American officials have stated that President Joe Biden's response to the strike on the military base in Jordan will be "strong," but Washington fears provoking broader escalation with Iran.

According to the television channel, the U.S. response to the attack, which resulted in the deaths of three soldiers and dozens injured, will be more powerful than previous American retaliatory strikes in Iraq and Syria, although the Pentagon and the White House are trying not to disclose their plans.
